Dr. Ronald Scornavacca is an accredited orthodontist. This means that he is a dental specialist who has completed an advanced post-doctoral course, accredited by the American Dental Association, of at least two academic years in the specialty of orthodontics.

Dr. Ronald Scornavacca is a board qualified orthodontist and has been in practice for over 25 years. He is an active member and past president of the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Scornavacca received his BS degree from Villanova University and DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine receiving the Henry B Robinson Award for highest clinical excellence in his graduating class. He was elected into OKU, a national dental honor society. He completed his residency in Oral Surgery at Yale and the Johns Hopkins Hospitals. He then attended the University of Maryland and earned a certificate in Orthodontics. He received the Daniel Sheehan Award, graduating first in his class.
Dr. Scornavacca has been active in his professional associations including the American Association of Orthodontists, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. He is a past clinical instructor at the University of Maryland Dental Department Of Orthodontics. He is Board Qualified in both Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics. Dr. Scornavacca was voted one of Baltimore's Best Orthodontists in the Baltimore Magazine, May 1999 issue. A poll of hundreds of dentists in the Baltimore area selected him. Dr. Scornavacca and wife Anne are the parents of two grown children, Craig and Laura. Craig is a graduate of Villanova University and works as a trader for FBR Capital Markets in New York City. Laura is a graduate of Lynchburg College. She and husband Scott Schuebel are the proud parents of two daughters, Brynn and Grier.
In his spare time, Dr. Scornavacca can be found on the golf course or spending time with his granddaughters. He resides in Cockeysville.
